Pressing - Replication: Turnaround Times for CD Replication & DVD Replication: Your product is delivered normally 10 days from when the parts reach the pressing plant. Most delays are caused by artwork problems that could be sorted before the job is despatched for production. We give a personal service and will be pleased to advise you on all the steps needed and hopefully spot any problems before they cause delays. Your product will be delivered to your door with all the printed parts in place, cellophane wrapped and ready to sell. Minimum Order for CD Replication & DVD Replication: The minimum order for cd or dvd replication is 500 units, however we would always advise you to go for 1000 if possible as this will give you a significant saving and greatly lower the unit cost of your product. Please Note: On a 500 run order we always have 1000 of the printed parts (Booklets & Inlays etc) produced, this means that on your first 500 re-run order you only have to pay for the cd or dvd replication and cases as your printed parts have already been paid for. CD Mastering: - What you need to supply us with. CDR: To get your replication order underway, you'll need to supply us with what's called a Red Book Master master ready to produce the Glass Master from which your CD's will be replicated, this is normally supplied as a CDr.. Please see our CD Mastering page (Burning Your Audio Master) for info on creating a Red Book CDr master. Please note that the input data media, especially CD-Rs, are very sensitive media. The utmost care must be taken when handling these data media to protect them from damage. The content of your CD AUDIO is limited to 79 minutes. This corresponds to a data content on CD-ROM of approx. 700 MB. Exabyte Master We can also accept an Exabyte Master which is a CD Mastering Tape Format containing both digital audio and PQ Codes as data for creation of a CD glass master. CD Mastering: DAT Masters: If you supply a DAT Master, It will cost you around an extra £175.00 + Vat to prepare your content ready to make the Glass Master. We would always advise you to send a CDr and this involves no extra cost. Artwork & Design: You'll need to supply us with ready to run artwork at the correct specification regarding measurements and image resolution. All colour images should be in CMYK format and at 300dpi resolution. A guide layout print out of your artwork is also most helpful. From only £50 we'll design and prepare your artwork for you to the exact specifications. This is an area where most delays occur so great care should be taken in the preperation of your artwork. Do it yourself, that's fine, it's not that hard. We'll advise you on exactly what you need to supply us with, if you get stuck give us a call, we're here to help, we're nice people and we won't bite. Check out the artwork & design section for further information. Copyright (M.C.P.S.): An often forgotten but vital part of the operation. It's a legal requirement to obtain a licence for the use of other peoples work and we will need proof of such. We require that you fill in a copy of our Copyright Indemnity Form and post or fax it back to us. Right Click the form link above to download a PDF version. If you have one please send a copy of your MCPS licence or at least your application for one. (Remember, simply applying for a licence does not guarantee that you will be granted one. The MCPS can only grant a licence for tracks from publishers and writers they have agreements with. You may have to contact other copyright holders yourself to get permission). If you have written all the material yourself we'd still advise you to apply to the MCPS however, as long as you fill in our Copyright Form we'll be happy. It protects us and helps in the fight against Piracy. You can find more information and obtain an MCPS application form on our copyright page and you can also vist the M.C.P.S. website here. We'll guide you through the jungle of dealing with the M.C.P.S. and you'll soon see it's easier than you think to be completely legal. Check out the copyright section for further information. ISRC Codes: If you have your own label and release your own product, you should be assigning ISRC Codes to your tracks, visit our ISRC page to learn more about how you can be using ISRC Codes for your releases. |
